A brisk walk in the crisp Autumn air, muffled up with scarf, hat (apparently it makes me look like a pixie, hmmm) and fuzzy red gloves. But tell me why is it that dogs always swerve in a circle to the one who is not so keen, completely ignoring the other who would no doubt stop, have a stroke and a chat?
The Palace is all decorated with a Dickensian Christmas theme but it’s too early to visit. Christmas Palace, my Christmas book, carols and mulled wine will begin from December and not before. I’m looking forward to it all immensely.
What is absolutely perfect after a red cheek making walk is this…
Are you enjoying Autumn? Where are your favourite Autumn places?
What beautiful pictures. I never feel that Autumn gets enough credit (being neither Summer nor Winter).
Gorgeous colours in the trees – particularly the reds in those last photos.
The acers are my favourite too.
There are less leaves here to enjoy now…. A lot of them have already fallen. Cats always prefer to sit on the person who doesn’t like cats too…. I’m sure they can tell somehow!
That’s so true – they always make a bee line for the one who doesn’t like cats! It’s all topsy turvy!
Splendid photos. How lovely to visit on such a gorgeous day.
It’s gorgeous all year round, but I particularly love Autumn
I remember that walk so well. Did you pick conkers? Thanks for sharing. Cathy.
The conkers are long gone!
gorgeous pics. But I want to see you in the pixie hat. And as for autumn? – don’t tease, please, it’s a hotter-than-usual “spring” here, with the occasional unseasonal thunderstorm thrown in. Very strange. I’m already desperate for autumn colours and cooler mornings.
