A little progress, but not a lot admittedly as I’ve been away and didn’t sit knitting; with the sea to walk beside, good weather, food and drink it’s understandable, for some. Unthinkable for others!
I recommend The Reader on the 6:27 it’s a good and very quick read. Translated from the original French it is quirky and definitely reminded me of Amelie.
If you’d like to share what you’re making and reading this week, leave a link to a current post in the comments and I’ll add it here. Don’t forget to link back to this post on your blog, and use #yarningalong on social media, so others can find us and join us in Yarning Along.
I got The Reader on the 6:27 for my birthday and read it in one day, isn’t it lovely :)
It really is! I will have to look out for any other future books
Sounds look a good read, I’ll add it to my to read list.
And I totally understand not knitting. Not that I ever stop!
Here’s my post for this week: http://www.vikkibirddesigns.com/2017/05/goldilocks-and-three-knitting-needles.html
I know – I’ve got that impression! I can totally understand needing it and know people who can’t not knit.

Socks are looking most excellent. You are almost at the heel flap… which is where I am!!! It’s almost a sockalong!!! Maybe I should find that book for my next read – I need a quick one!!! Here’s my post…

You’re right – I’m at that point so therefore putting it off and looking at crochet books! I just want to knit, not fiddle about. But if I don’t it’s a tube and not a sock…
Definitely get it, it’s short and quirky.
Thanks for joining in Yarning Along again.
The flap is simple, the turn is slightly trickier but probably won’t give you any problems being a more experienced knitter than me. I did it totally wrong on my first pair… but the socks still worked.
I never think of myself as an experienced knitter – more of a slightly cack handed one! But thank you. I’m a lazy cack handed knitter really.
Definitely more experienced than me.
