Coming across this dishcloth at Mum’s house on Thursday I realise how far I’ve come on with crochet in a relatively short time. I crocheted it last year and was obviously having problems reaching the end of rows, in all sorts of ways!
This makes me smile when I think of my recent crochet-angst around the Rhubarb Ripple; I have to remind myself from time to time that this is still a fairly new hobby.
What a lovely reminder of your huge progress… and great to see it still being in one piece a year later… shop bought dishcloths would have been in the bin months ago! Jill x
Looks familiar. I still have problems like that sometimes lol! See the rainbow mug cosy!!
I know the feeling. I started last fall and have had such an improvement that it is hard to remember how I started. I unfortunately (or fortunately?) scrapped all my early attempts so I don’t have too many reminders of what was. However I still stumble over some things, so I remember quickly that I’m still a “beginner”.
Well, that tugs at my heartstrings! I so remember the days when I started to crochet. And to tell you the truth, if I don’t pay attention, this sort of thing still happens to me once in a while. You are so brave to share this with the world. :D (And how sweet of your Mom to still have it around!)
I’m currently crocheting a face washer and it is starting to look like this too!
Hi Rachel Just wanted to say how much i’m enjoying reading your blog…your dishcloth looks like the blanket I tried to crochet, needless to say i’ve unpicked it and will have another try as your progress is inspiring!
