#34 Band of Bobbles
6″ square
“I’m not sure about this one”
“Yeah, why does it stop?”
#35 Tricolour Square
5 1/2″ square but it needs flattening out
Another version of this using only trebles would be interesting (still not bothered about dtr to be honest)
#36 ‘Pink’ Stripe
5 3/4″ square
Using htr made a refreshing change, plus it’s fast growing which made it one of the speediest blocks to crochet.

Reading Patch’s blog post this week made me laugh because its not CAL posts that makes you a geek; it’s blogging about crochet in the first place! As a crochet blogger and the instigator of the CAL I totally accept my inner geek ;-)
What are you making at the moment? Full on with Christmas crafts or ?
Bring on the crochet geeks :-)
As far as Christmas goes, I’ve cancelled it this year (for myself, at least). It is my LEAST FAVOURITE time of year. loathe loathe loathe.
I do however exchange small gifts with one or two friends, and I think Alex isn’t too old to be visited by Father Christmas just one more time. Come to think of it, I also like mince pies. And carol singing. But that’s it, nothing else. Although we started putting a tree up when Alex was about 2 (just for her, of course) and it still seems to make its way out of the top cupboard every December…plus all the hand-made decorations…sigh.
This made me smile, you know you love it all realllly
Like I said I love a geek/nerd but crochet is a bit cool and trendy these days with the whole homemade/handmade/Kirstie Allsopp (who drives me mad so I can’t bear to watch) thing going on. So we are cool nerds for a brief moment at least ;D (And why do those bobbles stop???)
I know…it’s neither one nor the other is it?!
Love the simplicity of the third, second gorge too – love the colours of these ones too
x
Cheers my dear
you’re doing so well with your blocks! I still haven’t got to lock 3 yet… I’m hoping that once Christmas pressie making is out the way I can finally get my teeth into this! :)
