So exciting to come home to a large PINK PARCEL!
I opened it in a rush and quickly photographed it in the placky bag as I had to be somewhere fast, but here is my new cotton stash! I’ve never bought any yarn in bulk and now look at me, with my yarnalicious rows of DK below and now 13 balls of cotton!

I’ll show some pics of what I create with the super bundle of bright cotton as I go along….
Having a ‘stash’ (this does sound very American to me, but I can’t think what else works so well in one neat word!) does mean that you can try any pattern out there and then, rather than wait to buy a ball of something.
I also am a bit excited about this….
I didn’t even know this magazine existed. The shops I tend to go to for a rummage around amongst their craft magazines don’t stock Mollie Makes. I’m looking forward to a good look at it tonight.

Second, I WANT THIS!!! Cotton is so expensive here, like $9.00 for a 50 gram ball, no lie!! I asked if she ships to the US, I sure hope so!!

Oh we are so on the same wavelength!! I was browsing around today and found Planet Penny’s Cotton Club and thought “I’ll get some of those next”. Then I saw the title of your post and immediately knew what was in your parcel lol!! Not having the supplies I need is always what stops me from making things. Loving your purple tulips too and looking forward to reading about lots of rainbow bright cottony things :)

Re crochet magazines – they’re so pricey I never buy them, but my husband and I like to go to a large bookstore once a week (this constitutes our date night – I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing). I get a cup of tea, he gets coffee, and we sit and read magazines for free. I like Crochet!, Crochet Today, Inside Crochet, and of course the ne plus ultra of crochet mags, Interweave Crochet.

I love Mollie Makes and only discovered it last month. Its great that you get a project with each mag, I am thinking of subscribing to it for 12 months. The idea is for it to introduce me to other crafty things. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day. I look forward to hearing what the cotton yarn is like to work with. I have recently bought some bamboo/ cotton mix as it is very similar to Rowan but a lot cheaper. Although I haven’t decided what to do with it yet!
Your blog is funner than mine, no fair! I am loving it so far. I also wanted to say how impressed I am with your crochet skills. You have done amazing in the year you have learned. Had I not seen that post I would not have even known. Keep up the good work. I am going to check out the Penny cotton and perhaps order some. I love the Stylecraft so much!
